Growing up in New England, I always had a week off of school in February. Consider the past week an early "February Break".
ECON: I'm following the letter of the law, so we will NOT be having the AD/AS exam on your first day back. Instead, we'll be starting material from Chapter 10 of your textbook on unemployment and inflation. THEREFORE, your homework for Tuesday is to read and take notes on Tragakes pages 265-274. Your AD/AS exam will be on Thursday, February 4th.
HOA: We'll pick up where we left off: Reconstruction presentations. All groups must be ready to present on the first day back from the Snowzilla holiday. Share your presentation and review sheet with me on GoogleDrive - they'll be shared with the class on this website. Presentation grades will be entered into the 3rd quarter gradebook. There will be no semester exam.
TOPICS: We have at least two more Mao Domestic Policies presentations to cover in class. All groups should be prepared to present on Tuesday and should share their presentation on the class wiki by Monday evening. I haven't made a final decision about the scheduling of your next essay.
I hope to see you all in school on Friday.

Update on Post-Snowzilla Plans
Here's what you can expect when we return to school (whenever that may be):
ECON: The first macroeconomics exam will be held during our first class back from the break. The review posters were posted online last week. Be prepared!
HOA: We'll continue with more Reconstruction presentations. At this point, all groups should be prepared to present if called upon. I'm awaiting further instructions from W-L administration in regards to the quarter exam. I'll update this post Wednesday night with more information.
TOPICS: We'll continue with presentations on Mao's domestic policies. There will be an in-class essay in the period immediately after the presentations have concluded.
The end of the quarter is still January 29th. Some assignments may need to be pushed into the 3rd quarter gradebook if all students have not had a chance to complete their presentations/assignments before January 29th. More information to come tomorrow evening...
