HOA: Additional Internal Assessment Information

To submit your first and final drafts of the History Internal Assessment, you'll need to enroll in my class on turnitin.com.  When registering for the class, you'll need the following information:

The first draft is due by 3pm on Friday, April 29th.  Submission of a hard copy is required in class on either the 29th or May 2nd.

Required formatting for the internal assessment:

• cover page included
• double-spaced
• Each section begins on a new page
• all footnotes completed
• bibliography can be single-spaced

IB Economics: Completing your Internal Assessment

Before you leave for Spring Break, you need to complete 3 copies of the IB Econ Cover Sheet (one per commentary), 1 copy of the IB Econ Summary Portfolio Coversheet, and Page 1 of IB Form 3CS.  Each completed form needs to be printed out and turned in to your teacher.  These are due by Friday, March 18th - NO EXCEPTIONS AND NO EXTENSIONS.

HOA: Using Turnitin.com for Your Internal Assessment

In order to submit your draft of the Internal Assessment, you'll need to register on turnitin.com.  The class ID is 9929495 and the password is USAAOK.  When you're ready, submit your paper.  You can only submit it once and your originality report should be available within the hour.

Econ: how to complete your I.A.

There are several items to complete during class in the computer lab or earlier if you won't be here for class.

1. Complete your Portfolio Cover Sheet.  Open the document on your APS Google Drive account, select "Make a copy" from the file menu, and complete the form entirely in your GoogleDrive account.  Print out a copy and put it inside the left pocket of your folder.
2. Complete form IB Form 3/CS and put inside the left pocket of your folder, on top of your Portfolio Cover Sheet.
3. Submit your three commentaries to TurnItIn.com.  You probably already have an account, but you'll need to enroll in our class.  Here's the info you need:

IB Econ: Starting Your Internal Assessment

When starting your Internal Assessment, begin by opening the I.A. Commentary cover sheet in GoogleDocs.  Select "Make a copy" from the File menu and save it to your own GoogleDocs folder.  Then complete the section of the cover sheet labeled "Candidate Number".  Once you have found the article you intend to use for your I.A., you can complete the rest of the cover sheet.

This afternoon we'll be completing the official IB Internal Assessment Cover Sheet in the computer lab.  If you are not present in class, you'll need to complete this on your own and turn it in before the end of the year.

You can use the documents provided below for tips on how to write the IA in the proper format.  Remember that the first draft is due on Friday, April 29th and that the word count will not be taken into account when formulating your grade.

I.A. Deadlines

There will be two different deadlines for the final draft of the Internal Assessment.

Period 2 - I.A. Final Draft is due on Monday, June 14th

Period 4 - I.A. Final Draft is due on Friday, June 18th

The different due dates is to ensure that both classes have about the same amount of time to complete their final draft after receiving their graded first draft.
